Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician, either certified or non-certified, to join our dynamic Surgery team. This role is essential for providing support during surgical procedures and will be filled on an as-needed basis to cover for staff absences and peak times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering exceptional patient care in the surgical environment under the guidance of licensed professionals.
  • Prepare the operating room by assembling necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment tailored to specific surgical procedures.
  • Support the surgical team by performing scrubbing and circulating duties, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
  • Maintain the integrity of the sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality care by consistently applying surgical technology knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with registered nurses and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and service quality.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have completed a surgical technology program from an accredited institution and possess relevant experience in a surgical setting. Certification as a surgical technician is preferred but not mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within three months of hire.
