Position Title: Surgical Technician

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a full-time Surgical Technician to become an integral part of our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, outstanding communication skills, and a passion for providing quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgical team under the supervision of the circulating nurse, contributing to various surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure a smooth workflow during operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgeon preferences and manage the handling of specimens and instruments safely.
  • Ensure the sterile field is upheld by properly sterilizing and managing surgical items.
  • Support inventory management by receiving, stocking, and rotating supplies, while removing outdated items.
  • Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the surgical team.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of three months to one year of relevant experience in a surgical setting.

Education: Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.

Skills and Abilities:

The role demands strong interpersonal skills, including courtesy and diplomacy, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should demonstrate effective time management and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with medical terminology and the operation of various medical instruments is essential.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves various physical activities, including standing for extended periods, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects, as well as fine motor skills for handling instruments and supplies.
