Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing client requests for proposals and formulating cost-effective mechanical and plumbing solutions that are technically proficient, precise, and energy-efficient.
  • Developing schematic drawings and equipment matrices based on initial load calculations for use in material take-offs and pricing by the estimating team.
  • Supporting the Pre-Construction Manager in crafting project proposals, design narratives, and life cycle cost analyses for various mechanical systems.
  • Delivering presentations to stakeholders, including owners and general contractors, on fundamental HVAC and plumbing engineering concepts related to proposed mechanical solutions.
  • Participating in project kickoff and design coordination meetings.
  • Assisting the Engineering Department Manager in reviewing internally generated construction documents for quality assurance, accuracy, and feasibility.
  • Providing technical guidance to in-house mechanical engineers and project managers on HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic/process piping engineering practices, code references, and relevant software tools.
  • Reviewing construction documents for plan and specification projects during the preconstruction phase.
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, team members, and suppliers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in the Mechanical Discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in HVAC and plumbing system design.
