Key Responsibilities
  • Perform AC/DC, Stator, Rotor, and Armature Winding with Random and Form Coils Fractional to 6,000/HP
  • Operate Specialized Testing Equipment, including Winding Machines, Test Panels, Surge Testers, Coreloss Testers, Cut Off Saws, Burnout Ovens, Bake Ovens, Grinders, Cranes, Forklifts, Brazing Units, Dip Tanks, and Handheld Power Tools
  • Inspect Electromechanical Equipment for Damage and Electrical Malfunction
  • Test Windings and Check, Clean, File, and Drift Core
  • Test and Insert Coils and Maintain Dimensions Given on Data Sheets
  • Solder or Braze Connections
  • Insulate Drive Slot Wedges, Band as Necessary
  • Fasten, Remove, or Install Revolving Field Coils
  • Perform Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Experience
  • Tools of the Trade
  • Able to Read Blueprints, Schematics, Shop Drawings
  • Reading Micrometres Machine Experience
  • Experience using Calipers
  • Physically Able to Perform the Tasks Assigned
  • Basic Knowledge and Use of Common Electronics and Programs
  • Able to Lift 50 Pounds
