Position Overview

Role Summary: Savannah College of Art and Design is seeking a dedicated visual storyteller to enhance its visual media team in the vibrant city of Atlanta. In this role, your main focus will be to capture compelling images utilized across various platforms including print, digital, video, presentations, social media, public relations, and advertising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute photography assignments with creativity and professionalism.
  • Organize and dismantle photography sets as required.
  • Perform essential image processing and retouching tasks, including color correction and cropping.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to brainstorm and develop innovative photography projects such as catalog covers, advertisements, and promotional materials.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to proper file naming conventions and metadata standards as outlined by the photo archivist.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in magazine or newspaper photography.
  • Extensive background in commercial, photojournalism, studio, lifestyle, and portrait photography.
  • Proficiency in Capture One, Adobe Lightroom, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
