About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sales professional to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector team as an Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market share in a defined region, serving as a key member of our team, and advancing our market and technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a growing customer base for our enterprise accounts, deepening business and technical relationships, and launching new customer services by identifying and pursuing key opportunities.
  • Determine the most effective go-to-market strategies and collaborate with AWS Solution Architects, Partners, Legal, Marketing, Product, Capture/Contracts, and Executive leadership.
  • Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer's goals and environment, with day-to-day interactions with customers and our ecosystem of partners (SI's and ISV's) that support these customers.
  • Articulate and implement strategic territory and account plans aligned to AWS's strategic direction, understanding the technical considerations, certifications, and procurement processes specific to the public sector.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure they understand relevant cloud use cases, are successful using AWS services, and are able to build the technical resources required to fully embrace cloud services.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities, developing and managing the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding quarterly and yearly strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales, or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS.
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent.
