Job Summary:

The Manager of Infection Prevention oversees multiple facilities' Infection Prevention program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, state and CMS regulations, and daily operations of the Infection Prevention Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of facility compliance with Infection Prevention Hospital Accreditation Standards, State and CMS regulations.
  • Development and operationalization of the Infection Prevention Program's annual risk assessment, action plans, and annual evaluations.
  • Strategic development of the infection prevention program within the facility.
  • Tracking financial impact of reported hospital-acquired infections and promoting maximum patient outcomes, costs, and quality of care.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience in Nursing, Microbiology, Biology, or Public Health.
  • Four years of experience as an Infection Preventionist in an acute care facility.
  • Masters degree in a healthcare-related field or Bachelors degree in Science with ten years of infection prevention work experience.
  • Active license in the state of practice for a Registered Nurse or Clinical Lab Scientist.
  • Certification in Infection Prevention and Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) within two years of hire.
