Job Overview

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment for our customers, vendors, and employees. You will be responsible for detecting, apprehending, and processing shoplifters, as well as assisting store management in maintaining a secure store atmosphere. Your professionalism and excellent judgment will be instrumental in de-escalating situations and providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loss Prevention: Detect and apprehend shoplifters, processing them according to company policies and local laws.
  • Situation Resolution: Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve concerning situations within the store.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on investigations and Loss Prevention matters.
  • Investigations: Conduct internal investigations and testify in legal proceedings as needed.
  • Training: Provide Loss Prevention training to store staff.
Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Prior experience in retail loss prevention or a related field, with excellent judgment and verbal communication skills.

Skills: Analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
