SpartanNash seeks skilled individuals to join our team as Retail Transaction Specialists. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through efficient transaction processing and outstanding customer service.
Job Description
- Process customer transactions using cash registers and electronic scanners, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit cards, and other accepted forms of payment.
- Weigh and bag customer purchases, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Operate check-stand equipment efficiently, ensuring accurate pricing and product handling.
- Communicate Company programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers, modeling high standards of service.
- Maintain understanding of current store programs and product locations.
- Comply with Company policies regarding security, cash handling, product handling, and other relevant procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of prior retail experience preferred.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to interact politely with customers.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
