About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services. As a key member of our Cloud Database team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database solutions that meet customer requirements and align with our organization's goals.
  • Lead the technical implementation of database solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and migration of cloud database environments.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and recommend enhancements to improve reliability, cost-efficiency, and data management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex challenges, document best practices, and transfer knowledge to upskill the broader team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 or more years of experience in Database and/or Analytics Systems development and deployment.
  • Significant experience of software development and/or IT and implementation/consulting experience.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and render them as prototype systems with quick turnaround time.
  • Implementation and tuning experience in the Big Data Ecosystem, Database, NoSQL, and Data Warehousing.
  • Knowledge of foundation infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, and Hardware Optimization.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of business environments, strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and remote teams.

AWS Certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty (Data Analytics Speciality), is a plus.
