About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Solutions Architect to join our global team. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Azure Data services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and demonstrate architectural designs at scale, technical specifications, and implementation plans to stakeholders and technical teams
  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end solutions using Azure Data services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Create architectural designs and provide guidance for data storage, data integration, data processing, and data analysis using Azure Data services
  • Develop and maintain data models, data schemas, and data dictionaries
  • Implement data governance, data security, and data privacy practices in Azure Data solutions
  • Optimize data storage, data processing, and data analysis techniques to ensure high performance and scalability
  • Establish and implement best practices for data ingestion, data transformation, and data enrichment
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, data workflows, and data integration processes
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and other team members to ensure successful data solution implementation
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning for Azure Data solutions
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure Data services, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their applicability to the organization's data architecture
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data architects and team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall data and technology strategies
  • Continuously assess and improve the organization's data architecture and recommend enhancements to optimize data management processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI
  • Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, PySpark, Python, C#
  • Experience working with data architecture, data engineering, and database management on Azure data technologies
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience with data architecture principles, including data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, and data governance
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable data solutions in Azure is crucial
  • Familiarity with data security best practices, data privacy regulations (such as GDPR), and experience in implementing data access controls and encryption mechanisms in Azure is highly desirable
