Job Summary

Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional care and create a positive experience for our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice assessments and interventions to address the psychosocial, developmental, and physiological needs of children and their families.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to minimize psychological trauma and aid in coping and adjustment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure family-centered care and promote the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Design and deliver educational programs for families, students, staff, and volunteers on child development, family systems, and the psychosocial impact of hospitalization.
  • Empower patients and families to self-advocate and promote legacy building opportunities throughout hospitalization.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Child Life or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CCLS) through the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) within a year of hire and maintained throughout tenure.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practices, patient assessment, family systems, and the psychosocial impact of hospitalization.
  • Experience in a pediatric healthcare setting, including completion of a child life clinical internship.
