Job Title: Residential Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Advisor to join our team at Red Rock Job Corps Center. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to our students, ensuring a positive and productive living environment.

Job Summary

The Residential Advisor is responsible for providing guidance and support to students in a residential setting, promoting positive group living relations and achievement in the Job Corps program. This includes:

  • Providing guidance and support to students to achieve a positive attitude and proper behavior in dormitory living situations
  • Determining, recommending, and arranging student visits to counselors
  • Assisting in unit activities, including unit government
  • Patrolling and monitoring dormitories and center to ensure safety and proper behavior of students
  • Preparing daily operations reports, pass lists, and other administrative correspondence relating to students
Responsibilities

The Residential Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Providing guidance and counseling to students
  • Assisting in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory
  • Recommending or requisitioning supplies to provide needs for dorm living and safety of students
  • Maintaining dormitory and individual student files
  • Entering student case notes in the center information system
  • Participating in career development services by ensuring a safe living environment and creating positive peer leadership role modeling techniques within the dorm
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of Job Corps or related program experience
  • A valid in-State Driver's License (preferred)
