We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead a team of experts in developing new laser transmitter subsystems, lidar systems, and space-based communications systems. As the Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for interfacing with customers and developing system design concepts that meet program objectives.
The workload will involve managing multiple concurrent projects, including small, quick-turn projects and larger, longer-term projects. Your role will include:
Key Responsibilities- Establish System Key Performance Parameters: Define system requirements and ensure they are met through effective flow-down to subsystems.
- Lead Engineering and Manufacturing Teams: Oversee the end-to-end development of active electro-optic systems, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Assign Tasks and Set Priorities: Effectively manage program team members, setting clear priorities and goals to drive project success.
- Communicate Status and Issues: Keep senior management informed of project status, technical issues, and workforce matters.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Engineering Background: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Design, Build, and Test Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in design, build, and test of electro-optic or laser systems.
- Program Management Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a focus on electro-optic or laser systems.
- Systems Engineering Experience: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Communication and Documentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
- Customer Interfacing Skills: Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders.
- US Citizenship: US citizenship is required for this position.
