Position Overview:

The King County Library System (KCLS) is on the lookout for a dedicated Community Programs Coordinator to join our Adult & Community Services Department.


Role Highlights:

As a Community Programs Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative assistance for the creation and execution of library outreach and service initiatives throughout the year. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating contracts and managing long-term program logistics.
  • Facilitating communication with regional Librarian teams.
  • Tracking external vendor and performer contracts.
  • Assisting with budget monitoring and reporting.
  • Proofreading promotional materials for accuracy.
  • Documenting notes during ongoing system meetings.

Your contributions will be essential in supporting library staff to deliver high-quality programs and services to the community. You will ensure timely communication regarding contracts, invoices, and other essential information to Librarians and program presenters.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with your peers in the Library Outreach, Programs, and Services department, sharing the workload to guarantee the success of ongoing programs. Qualifications:
