In this role, the Guest Ambassador acts as a vital link between patients and hospital personnel. You will assist patients in understanding hospital policies, procedures, and services, while also addressing their concerns and needs.
Key Responsibilities
A typical day as a Guest Ambassador at Hackensack Meridian Health involves:
- Liaison Role: Serving as the intermediary between patients and staff regarding care and communication. You will provide channels for patients to express their concerns and seek information about their rights and services.
- Feedback Collection: Conducting follow-up calls with patients to gauge satisfaction levels from previous visits. Supporting the department with data gathering and reporting as directed by the Nurse Manager.
- Goal Development: Collaborating with management to establish and refine objectives for Emergency Services, including Prompt Care and the Emergency Department. Offering insights on goals, policies, and procedures as necessary.
- Committee Participation: Engaging in hospital committees as required, contributing actively to departmental and hospital initiatives each year.
- Patient Support: Providing assistance and information to patients, families, and visitors in your capacity as an Emergency Department Greeter. Welcoming patients and their families upon arrival, guiding them through the check-in process, and directing them to the appropriate services.
- Additional Duties: Performing other tasks and projects as assigned, while adhering to organizational competencies and standards of conduct.
Qualifications
Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
