Position Summary

In the role of Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products adhere to established manufacturing and warehouse protocols, thereby meeting the expectations of our customers.

Shift Details: M-TH 5am - 3:30pm with occasional overtime on Fridays

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assessments of ongoing production processes and ensure compliance with labeling, product quality, traceability, and documentation standards.
  • Examine products according to relevant engineering specifications and manufacturing/testing guidelines.
  • Prepare Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) as necessary.
  • Perform internal audits as directed, including calibration and pest control assessments.
  • Utilize ERP systems (AX) for tracking and reporting.
  • Engage in external audits, representing Nonin to customers, third parties, and regulatory bodies.
  • Update quality control inspection checklists regularly.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of inspection experience within a medical device setting.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting various engineering drawings and manufacturing/testing procedures.
  • Strong mathematical skills, capable of calculating totals, averages, and ranges.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and auditors.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Understanding of quality importance and related functions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with measurement tools (microscopes, calipers, laser scanners, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 standards.

Physical Demands:

  • Good manual dexterity for using various handheld measurement instruments.
  • Strong visual acuity with attention to detail.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain mobility throughout the shift.
