Job Summary

As a Clinical Transplant Coordinator at University Health System- San Antonio, you will play a vital role in promoting quality care for transplant patients. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced clinical management strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide education and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare teams on transplant-related topics
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest transplant trends, research, and best practices
  • Support and maintain University Health's policies, protocols, and values
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an RN and five years of nursing experience
  • One year of transplant or end-stage organ failure nursing experience may be substituted for two years of general nursing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required or must be attained within three years of hire
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas required
  • Certification as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator required or obtained within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of transplant, healthcare trends, community, and regional resources
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
