Clinical Transplant Coordinator

The Clinical Transplant Coordinator II plays a vital role in promoting quality care for transplant patients at University Health. This position requires advanced clinical management, consultation, education, and research skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical management strategies to improve transplant patient care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide education and consultation on transplant-related topics
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date on the latest transplant trends and best practices
- Support and maintain University Health's policies, protocols, and values
- Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an RN and a minimum of Four (4) years of nursing experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required or must be attained within three years of the date of hire
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas is required
- A national certificate applicable to your role must be obtained within 18 months from the date of hire
- Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider or Instructor Certification is required
- Abdominal Transplant Coordinators will be required to attain CITI Research Certification within six months of the date of hire
