Overview
  • Accountable for managing and directing the daily operations within the housekeeping, conversion, and occasionally maintenance departments for AEG venues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all operational facets including event preparations, housekeeping, setups, crowd management, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to develop and implement departmental procedures.
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure adherence to policies and maintain quality standards.
  • Manage preventive maintenance and work order systems.
  • Schedule and lead part-time staff in conversion and housekeeping roles.
  • Meet with relevant personnel to outline daily and weekly tasks.
  • Authorize all hours worked for housekeeping and setup teams promptly.
  • Create work schedules ensuring adequate staffing for events.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all operational equipment.
  • Possess a keen sense of timing to coordinate activities effectively for successful event execution.
  • Implement training for all staff on operational procedures, maintenance schedules, emergency protocols, and safety policies in line with industry standards.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • One to two years of experience in an arena or performing arts center is required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience supervising a large part-time workforce of over 100 individuals.
  • Ice maintenance experience is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
  • Familiarity with operational protocols, facility capabilities, industry terminology, and event-related services.
  • Adhere to all safety measures, building codes, regulations, and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to strict timelines while delivering accurate results.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, carrying, and climbing.
  • Work independently, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to engage with all staff levels.
  • Professional demeanor, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Availability for irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as after-hours emergency calls.
