We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Joint Implant Surgeons. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand CPT Codes, ICD-10 codes, and Modifiers
  • Manage medical billing and coding processes, including data entry and claim submission
  • Utilize medical terminology, CPT coding, and modifier use to ensure accurate billing
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in billing and coding regulations and guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies
  • Manage multiple priorities and delegate tasks as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of medical billing experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, and modifier use
  • Experience with medical billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
