Job Summary

The Public Area Attendant is a critical role in ensuring the overall atmosphere of the Great Wolf Lodge meets or exceeds our high standards. As a member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas of the resort, including floors, carpets, restrooms, waterpark area, elevators, windows, and doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vacuums, dusts, and cleans public areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for our guests
  • Ensures elevator areas are free of debris and maintains a clean and organized appearance
  • Empties waste receptacles in common areas and reports any maintenance issues to the facilities team
  • Operates trash compactor and cardboard baler to maintain a clean and efficient waste management system
  • Communicates with guests in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service
  • Delivers items to guestrooms as requested and returns them to storage as necessary
  • Assists with guestroom cleaning as needed to ensure a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail

Requirements

  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Prior experience with handling cleaning chemicals is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills and previous housekeeping or general cleaning experience

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist to perform cleaning tasks
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Able to climb multiple flights of stairs on a daily basis and walk frequently
