Job Description

Excell Home Care, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
  2. Develop departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  3. Maintain office services by assisting in organizing office operations and procedures.
  4. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
  5. Receive the public and answer questions, in person and by telephone; respond to inquiries from employees, citizens, and others and refer, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official, or department.
  6. Operate listed office machines as required (copy machine, fax machine, time stamp machine, computer, scanner).
  7. Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing, emailing, etc.
  8. Perform other related duties as required and assigned in the scope of being a Medical Assistant.

Requirements:

  1. H.S. Diploma or GED.
  2. Proficiency in interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills.
  3. Problem Solving/Analysis
  4. Strong organizational and planning skills
  5. Ethical Conduct
  6. Flexibility
  7. Ability to take Initiative when necessary
  8. Proficiency in MS Office
  9. Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
  10. Team Player

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, feel, talk, and hear. The employee is required to have the ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Experience:

At least one year in a clinic setting.

This is a part-time position available with the opportunity for full-time with benefits in the future. Hours and schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business. Wage starts at $20+/hour depending on various factors including but not limited to experience.
