**Position Summary**

The Assistant Category Development Manager plays a critical role in supporting the customer's category strategy by analyzing trends, identifying key opportunities, and developing plans to execute on those opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of the customer's business and the ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Act as the category leader with customers to help develop category strategy based on insights and market trends

• Develop and deliver customer presentations that showcase data-driven insights and recommendations

• Support the customer category modular process with data-driven recommendations and modular drawing

• Lead and track key projects/initiatives for the customer, ensuring timely completion and effective execution

• Conduct competitive analysis to identify competitor strategies, strengths, and weaknesses

• Identify and track key trends in the market, providing insights and recommendations to the customer

• Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as required, providing timely and accurate insights to the customer

• Complete ad tracking for channel/retailers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information

• May perform other duties as assigned by the customer or management

**Requirements**

• BA/BS required; Marketing/Business Administration preferred

• 3-5 years category management experience, with a proven track record of success

• Proven ability to work effectively with teams, strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and relationship building

• Proficiency in JDA space planning software, with experience in category/sales analytics and consumer products industry experience or background

• Syndicated data experience (IRI/Nielsen scan & panel platforms) and customer POS systems familiarity are a plus
