Position Summary: The Fiber Installation Specialist is responsible for efficiently pulling fiber using manual methods, fiber pullers, or blowing techniques. This role includes setting handholes according to company standards and trenching conduits to the required depth while collaborating with fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually pull fiber in accordance with company standards.
  • Utilize fiber pullers and blowers for fiber installation.
  • Set handholes as per specifications.
  • Trench conduits effectively.
  • Perform concrete cutting tasks.
  • Core drill as needed.
  • Install various types of conduits (EMT, Rigid, Plenum).
  • Proof conduits using rods and ropes.
  • Access handholes and manholes safely.
  • Interpret design plans accurately.
  • Establish traffic control measures.
  • Prepare wooden poles for installation.
  • Operate equipment such as fiber pullers, blowers, mini excavators, micro plows, and aerial lifts.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Possession of valid transportation.
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Education and Experience:

  • Education Level: High School/GED.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar field or with comparable essential duties.
  • Field of Study: Electronics, Telecommunications, Construction, or Project Management.
