Position Overview

The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for managing the daily operations of the aquatic facility, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Key responsibilities include supervising lifeguard personnel, delegating tasks, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily facility operations and staff performance.
  • Plan and conduct regular in-service training sessions in compliance with state regulations.
  • Assist in the recruitment and promotion of staff and facility programs.
  • Perform lifeguarding duties as mandated by certifying organizations.
  • Lead instructional programs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Address and resolve patron inquiries and concerns.
  • Act as the facility manager in the absence of the Aquatic Coordinator.
  • Support pool chemical monitoring and facility maintenance tasks.

Physical Requirements

This role may require lifting items up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess current certifications in Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED.

Work Environment

The position involves both indoor and outdoor work across all seasons, with varying hours that may include evenings and weekends. Applicants are encouraged to provide their availability upon application submission.
