Revenue Cycle Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Analyst to join our team at Delta Health. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing our financial processes to improve revenue generation, reduce costs, and enhance overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze financial data related to revenue generation, billing, collections, and reimbursement processes to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
- Support the development and implementation of business solutions within the Revenue Cycle, including charge services/revenue integrity, health information management, and patient accounting.
- Ensure the efficient flow of revenue through our financial systems by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as accounts receivable, denials, and cash collection.
- Identify opportunities to streamline revenue cycle processes and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and coding guidelines.
- Take action to bring outstanding accounts receivable (A/R) to a zero balance by reviewing and completing documentation based on payer requirements.
- Ensure efficient processing of billing claims, insurance follow-up, collection activities, and denials.
- Serve as support staff for various departments and external payers by developing positive relationships with managed care organizations, outside agencies, and clinical areas within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics preferred.
- Certified public accounting (CPA) preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a revenue cycle analyst, or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle data analysis and interpretation.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and industry regulations.
- Knowledge with CMS 1500 and UB04 Billing Forms, EOBs, claims, coding, and charges is required.
- Knowledge of third-party and insurance companies' operating procedures, regulations, and billing requirements.
