Role: Room Quality Supervisor
As a Room Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for evaluating guest accommodations to guarantee that all amenities and supplies are adequately provided, and that the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms align with the standards set by Hampton Inn & Suites Omaha Downtown.
Career Advancement Opportunities:
Room Quality Supervisor can lead to roles such as Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, or Executive Housekeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide, train, and manage team members to ensure adherence to established hotel and brand standards, reflecting the core values of our organization.
- Conduct inventory checks to confirm that supplies are sufficient.
- Distribute supplies and equipment to team members as needed.
- Evaluate the quality of work performed to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Assist with cleaning tasks when necessary.
- Engage with staff to address performance issues and discuss company policies.
- Facilitate training for Room Attendants in collaboration with external training providers, if necessary.
- Participate in the recruitment process by screening candidates and onboarding new hires.
- Oversee the Laundry department staff, if applicable.
- Organize and manage employee schedules.
- Adhere to sustainability practices in line with the company's environmental initiatives.
- Follow safety protocols, utilize protective equipment, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Cross-train in the breakfast area to assist with guest inquiries and cleaning duties as required.
- Strive to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma is preferred.
- Prior experience in housekeeping is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
Work Environment:
- Work hours may vary and can include weekends and holidays.
- This role requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as reaching, kneeling, and bending.
