Quality Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team at WK Kellogg Co. As a Quality Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the development, compliance, and certification of quality programs and reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager in the execution of company programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize Quality Policies and Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Strengthen Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful program implementations and the use of best practices.
  • Emphasize Best Practices: Confirm adherence to required quality and food safety laws, regulations, corporate policies, and practices.
  • Manage People and Team Leadership: Supervise a team of Quality Auditors and Inspectors and influence cross-functional teams by being responsible for maintaining quality in a 24/7 operation.
  • Provide Cross-Functional Training: Ensure quality for all hours of operation and provide training to ensure compliance and execution of required programs.
  • Manage Facility Audits: Manage facility inspections, traceability, testing, vendor auditing, and microbial program compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or substantial experience in quality & food safety.
  • Frequently demonstrated quality and food safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SQF Practitioner, PCQI, Food defense, and HACCP certification are a bonus.
  • Technical knowledge of quality & food safety with including GMP and food safety standards in accordance with the FDA, USDA, and CFIA.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
  • Computer software skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SAP software experience.
