Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000, reflecting 6+ years of experience. This remuneration package represents a competitive offering in the industry.

Job Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with field supervisors, clients, subcontractors, consultants, and other team members to ensure seamless project coordination.
  • Leadership and Management: Demonstrate leadership skills as a self-starter, navigating complex project situations and mentoring Project Engineers to achieve success.
  • Schedule Adherence: Collaborate with Field leaders to maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely installation and trade coordination.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess advanced technical engineering skills to manage various aspects of the construction process.
  • Process Alignment: Ensure the PE team follows consistent workflows, delivering high-quality products to design teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Design Support: Participate in pre-construction activities with design teams to guarantee completed designs align with project budget and schedule requirements.
  • Scheduling and Procurement: Assist in scheduling preconstruction activities, estimating, and quantity take-offs, while understanding and anticipating schedule requirements and materials procurement.
  • Contract Development: Understand and develop contracts, subcontracts, and tracking systems for budgets, writing contracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
  • VDC and BIM Expertise: Develop and leverage strengths in VDC and BIM, creating detailed drawings work packages and ensuring accurate layouts and sequences.
  • Reporting and Closeout: Review reports like job cost, A/P projections, labor costs, and monthly job cost; assemble or supervise closeout information, as-builts, warranties, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years of project engineering experience with a general contractor that self-performs work.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Sharepoint, CMic, PlanGrid, SmartSheet, REVIT, NavisWorks, ACC, OnScreen Take-Off knowledge a plus.
  • Specialized Experience: Other specialized experience or accreditations preferred, e.g., MEP, DBIA, or LEED Green Associate.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills – essential for collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Adaptability and Attitude: Positive attitude, adaptability under pressure, and openness to new ideas and technologies.
