Hotel Equities is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our team at the Sheraton Northbrook Hotel in Northbrook, IL. As a Front Desk Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, responding to their needs, and ensuring a memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, register them into the computer, and provide accurate and timely information and services.
- Reservations and Check-in/Check-out: Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns. Be friendly, thorough, accurate, and efficient in taking reservations, performing check-ins, and check-outs.
- Payment and Cash Handling: Accept payment for guests' accounts, maintain a house bank, and make deposits and accurate reports of receipts daily.
- Security and Safety: Properly handle and account for keys, be knowledgeable of policies regarding emergency procedures and security concerns, and aggressively seek and react to opportunities to sell rooms.
- Communication and Teamwork: Answer telephone promptly and properly, be friendly, thorough, accurate, and efficient in communicating with guests and colleagues, and maintain open lines of communication with each department.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Skills: Good communication skills, both verbal and written, basic computational ability, basic computer skills, and extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, and facilities.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length, lift up to 15 lbs occasionally, and spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
