Lead Financial Planning Analyst

Role Summary
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Finance Division, offering expert guidance in the formulation and oversight of departmental budgets, strategic initiatives, and fiscal management at the system level, supporting various institutions.
Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or a related sector; additional qualifications may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Essential Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, budget formulation, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in standard technology platforms (e.g., word processing, data entry, email).
- Capability to navigate computerized financial systems effectively.
- Skill in interpreting financial data, performing calculations, and conducting statistical analyses.
- Expertise in analyzing financial statements and understanding financial policies and regulations.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to execute complex financial operations independently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A collaborative mindset, willing to engage with System and institutional leaders.
- Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Experience in training and onboarding staff in financial responsibilities.
- Experience in a shared service environment is advantageous.
- Background in a tax-exempt organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with Workday and Adaptive Planning is a plus.
