Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our healthcare technology team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of medical equipment, including non-high risk and high-risk devices.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to identify equipment needs and develop solutions to improve patient care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in medical equipment systems, devices, and technologies.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and interns.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer's procedures and regulatory requirements for medical equipment.
  • Document all work activities, including repairs, maintenance, and training.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • AAMI (CBET) Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
  • Associate degree in Science or Technology (BMET/EET) or military-trained Biomedical Equipment Technician.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
