Narrative Art Curatorial Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Museum Narrative Art Curatorial Researcher to join our team at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. As a key member of our curatorial department, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and providing organizational support for collections and exhibition development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct online and in-person archival research to provide recommendations for the curatorial department
- Perform object research on culture and style, place, object use and context, and materials to inform exhibition and acquisition decisions
- Collaborate with archivists, advisors, scholars, curators, artists, and artists' representatives to gather research information
- Draft research-based texts for works in the collection and loans
- Build and organize research files to support recommendations
- Contribute to team meetings and working sessions with project advisory committees and inter-departmental working groups
- Assist with exhibition development, including exhibition and loan checklists, and provide logistical and administrative support
- Contribute to catalogue research and development
Requirements
- Master's degree in history, art history, media studies, cinema studies, or related field
- Minimum of two years of experience in a museum or arts institution context
- Exceptional research skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong written and verbal communication skills
