Job Description

Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst IV to join our team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review license requests referred from DTCL to ensure compliance with registration requirements.
  • Initiate inquiries with and obtain documentation from US parties or other program elements.
  • Prepare final actions for senior staff approval.
  • Update and maintain State Department's Watch List database of entities of concern.
  • Help identify and implement technical improvements to the system.
  • Coordinate and liaise with interagency non-proliferation and export control community on arms trafficking/proliferation matters.
  • Coordinate with licensing offices on compliance and enforcement matters.
  • Help coordinate plans and operations within the department to identify and prevent violations of U.S. export laws and regulations.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to the U.S. and foreign defense community to promote compliance with U.S. export laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Five to Seven years of government compliance experience required.
  • Must have experience with regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with ITAR and AECA compliance required.
  • Good judgment and ability to work with supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to resolve disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Good organizational skills including the ability to assist on multiple projects consistent with established timeframes.
  • Ability to synthesize information and develop recommendations for management based on an analysis of the information.
  • Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and ability to operate all office equipment.
  • May be required to travel within Domestic and/or International.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance and US Citizenship required per our government client.
