Position Summary:
Mitsubishi SoarnoL Division is in search of a Financial Analyst who is eager to contribute to a team focused on excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable business outcomes. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for documenting, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions to uphold the company's financial integrity and operational results in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review cost center reports and financial details to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Prepare and evaluate financial data for internal and external audits, parent companies, and tax professionals.
- Provide backup support for the Senior Accountant and Controller.
- Develop monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Generate quarterly financial forecasts as required.
- Compile the annual budget.
- Execute month-end closing tasks, including reporting.
- Oversee multiple improvement initiatives as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in cost accounting within a chemical manufacturing context.
- Preferred experience of 2 years in forecasting and modeling.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Proficient in Excel and Macros.
- Prior experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to mentor the accounting team, including the Senior Accountant and Accountant, in the absence of the Controller.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000, influenced by the scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, job-related skills, and market considerations.
