Licensed Acupuncture Specialist

Position Overview
The Acupuncture Specialist is responsible for delivering acupuncture services to patients within the Integrative Medicine framework, aimed at alleviating discomfort and enhancing overall wellness. This role adheres to the department's objectives and protocols, utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine principles that have been effective for over three millennia.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the physical and psychological condition of patients to formulate tailored acupuncture treatment plans. Document individualized care strategies based on each patient's health status.
- Ensure that all procedures are conducted in a safe environment. Communicate any contraindications to the healthcare team, implementing necessary precautions to safeguard both patients and practitioners. Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety throughout the treatment process.
- Clearly explain treatment procedures and care plans to patients prior to sessions. Actively seek and monitor patient feedback during and after treatments to evaluate the effectiveness of the acupuncture.
- Assist in preparing patients for acupuncture sessions, including support with transportation to and from treatment areas. Provide necessary physical support to ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Deliver care in accordance with established ethical standards, fostering a respectful and trusting relationship with patients. Record treatment details on the same day services are rendered and provide progress updates to the healthcare team as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the Integrative Medicine team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Promote the benefits of acupuncture services as directed by supervisory staff.

Qualifications
Required:
- Demonstrated acupuncturist skills and competencies as evaluated by the hiring manager.
- CRT-Specialty Certification in Women's Health upon hire.
Preferred:
- At least one year of relevant experience in a medical setting.
