Job Title: Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team at Fairfield Inn by Marriott Columbus/New Albany, OH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Services: Ensure a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Cash Handling and Operations: Accurately process transactions, manage cash handling, and execute all policies related to check, credit, and guest billing.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain consistent communication with all departments, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary shift paperwork, ensure accuracy on shift checklists, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Problem-Solving and Customer Satisfaction: Research and resolve guest complaints or problems within established guidelines, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Computer and Equipment Skills: General computer knowledge, including Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Ability to operate a calculator, fax, and printer.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly talk or hear, frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

  • Customer Service: Manage difficult or emotional client and employee situations, respond promptly to client and employee needs, and solicit client feedback to improve service.
  • Safety: Maintain a safe work environment and equipment, ensuring a debris-free workspace and proper use of safety devices.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, respond to common inquiries or complaints, and interact clearly and effectively with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions, and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Professionalism: Approach others in a tactful manner and react well under pressure.
  • Time Management: Prioritize work activities, use time efficiently, plan for additional resources, set goals and objectives, and develop realistic action plans.
