Job Title: NICU Nurse Specialist

Location: New Jersey (Traveler RN Role - Multiple Locations in NJ)

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced NICU Nurse Specialist to provide exceptional care to neonatal patients in a Level II/III NICU setting. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess patients, assisting physicians in providing care for neonatal patients.
  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Identify patient needs, prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions, including specialized NICU procedures.
  • Manage the care of critically ill neonatal patients with attention to detail and precision.
  • Monitor and document care according to standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
  • Advocate for evidence-based practices and support innovations in neonatal care delivery.
  • Provide family-centered care, educating and supporting families in alignment with their needs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and weekend/holiday schedules as required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in a NICU or related specialty.

Education:

  • Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing).
  • Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

Certifications & Licensure:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA Only.
  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Languages:

  • English (Speak, Read, Write).

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
