Job Overview

Davis & Floyd Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources team in a key role that involves hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater and floodplain management studies, and design in support of regional drainage improvements and public infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative team environment with highly motivated professionals who value integrity and quality. Our company has been providing quality professional services to our clients since 1954.

The selected candidate will be responsible for participating in the planning, coordination, production, and management of detailed designs for our Water Resources team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hydrologic and hydraulic models to support stormwater and floodplain management studies and design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise and support for regional drainage improvements and public infrastructure projects
  • Conduct site visits and gather data to inform design and modeling efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of stormwater and floodplain management, and the theory and practice of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of South Carolina or ability to obtain such through reciprocity
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with H&H modeling software
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D
  • Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS
