Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Land Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing multiple survey projects, coordinating with project managers from various disciplines, and preparing and reviewing boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and land subdivisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Schedule, plan, and manage multiple survey projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
    • Coordinate with project managers from civil engineering and landscape architecture to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Survey Preparation and Review
    • Prepare, review, and modify boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, land subdivisions, and legal descriptions.
  • Field Work
    • Ability to work in the field and conduct site surveys, topographic mapping, construction staking, and roadway and boundary surveys.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Effectively communicate project information to staff, clients, and principals.
    • Thrive in a collaborative environment and promote a culture of accountability and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or in progress in the survey field and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications and Skills
    • PLS or SIT or ability to get PLS in the future.
    • Knowledgeable in performing and overseeing/assisting with surveying functions such as site surveys, topographic mapping, construction staking, and roadway and boundary surveys.
    • Experienced in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
    • Knowledge of topographic, boundary, ALTA, ROW, traverse, and construction layout.
