Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, organize, and implement various surveying projects while collaborating with project managers across different disciplines, including civil engineering and landscape architecture.
  • Prepare, assess, and adjust boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, land subdivisions, and legal descriptions.
  • Conduct fieldwork as necessary.
  • Interpret and analyze construction plans and specifications, with a solid understanding of construction practices related to layout.
  • Familiarity with state and local surveying regulations.
  • Develop cost estimates for surveying services and draft proposals.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and leadership.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability and adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or in progress in a surveying-related field, along with 4 years of pertinent experience.
  • Possession of PLS or SIT certification, or the ability to obtain PLS certification in the future.
  • Proficient in conducting and supervising various surveying tasks, including site surveys, topographic mapping, construction staking, and boundary surveys for both public and private sector clients.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation software.
  • Knowledgeable in topographic, boundary, ALTA, ROW, traverse, and construction layout surveying.
