Based in Sterling Heights, MI, you will collaborate closely with the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center, engaging in a technically demanding and varied career centered on manned and unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and simulation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your engineering skills in multidisciplinary research projects aimed at advancing ground combat vehicles.
  • Contribute expertise in embedded systems development, integration, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation to enhance optionally manned systems for the Department of Defense's Science and Technology sectors.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and effective communication to ensure project success.
  • Lead programs or sub-projects, translating complex platform requirements into structured engineering components across various disciplines.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with military systems and leadership roles in significant projects.
  • Collaborative skills to direct and contribute to Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts.
  • Familiarity with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.
  • Proficiency in Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods for architecture development.
  • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering, including SysML, UML, DoDAF, and UPDM.
  • Knowledge of developing and integrating data networks across various information security layers.
  • Experience in subsystem and system-level integration and testing of vehicle electronics systems.
  • Ability to develop and execute System Level Plans.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in process development and improvement management (CMMI).
