About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of complex military combat vehicle electronic and power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Perform trade studies to compare alternative approaches
  • Create and maintain electrical power budgets and allocations
  • Develop vehicle electrical (signal, network, and video) and power distribution concepts and architectures within mobility, lethality, survivability, and C5ISR systems
  • Develop requirement specifications, drawings, schematics, and Interface Control Documents
  • Lead/Support the execution of analysis to evaluate system performance
  • Support CPU, GPU, FPGA, power distribution, harness design, and integration
  • Support the development of test requirements and plans
  • Lead/Support prototype development
  • Lead/Support component procurement related to prototype build/integration/test activities
  • Support system-integration-lab (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) activities
  • Support/Monitor vehicle testing by troubleshooting issues, analyzing results, and performing corrective actions as necessary
  • Interact with internal/external customers and suppliers
  • Support the development/maintenance of project schedules
  • Lead the development of project open issues lists and Prepare/Present project status
  • Lead/Support multidisciplinary concurrent engineering activities
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Vetronics
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Computer Science, Software, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive, Management) desired
  • Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs
  • Applied working knowledge in the domain of electrical engineering design and systems integration
  • Experience with standard bus protocols (CANBus, Ethernet, Serial communications)
  • Experience with Military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, logic analyzers, function generators, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience with proposals, bid capture, contract negotiations, and delivery planning
  • Practical hands-on attitude with the ability to operate independently
  • Detailed knowledge of Military Standards and regulations
  • Experience of working in a multi-discipline, multi-national, multi-organizational, and corporate environment
  • Experience with engineering and supply chain management in a highly regulated industry
