The Medical Associate Supervisor is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for the administrative supervision of Medical Associates (Certified Nursing Assistants) in a detox and residential addiction treatment setting.
This role ensures that Medical Associates provide safe and effective patient care, adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, and collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative supervision, support, and guidance to Medical Associates
- Conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing training and coaching to Medical Associates
- Overseeing daily scheduling, coverage, and workload distribution for Medical Associates
- Assisting in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs for Medical Associates
- Providing direct nursing care, including medication administration, patient assessments, and monitoring withdrawal symptoms
- Documenting patient care activities and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
