Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Detroit Training Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to ensure a positive experience for all visitors and callers. This role is essential in making a lasting impression and providing exceptional service.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (40 hours with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Full-Time (In-person)
  • 10-hour shifts
  • Day shift only
  • No evening shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all individuals entering the facility with a helpful attitude.
  • Ensure the front desk area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Manage the main phone line, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate personnel. Record messages accurately and promptly.
  • Process payments from students or organizations, documenting transactions according to established procedures.
  • Utilize Salesforce to input all contacts, facilitating communication regarding upcoming classes and new offerings.
  • Assist students with inquiries or concerns, providing necessary support.
  • Support instructors in class preparation and attendance tracking.
  • Distribute promotional materials and information requested by callers, email correspondents, or online registrants.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in Administrative/Office roles (Required).
  • 1 year of experience in Customer Service (Required).
