Position Summary:
The Detroit Training Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to ensure a positive experience for all visitors and callers. This role is essential in making a lasting impression and providing exceptional service.
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (40 hours with a 30-minute lunch break)
- Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Full-Time (In-person)
- 10-hour shifts
- Day shift only
- No evening shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome all individuals entering the facility with a helpful attitude.
- Ensure the front desk area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Manage the main phone line, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate personnel. Record messages accurately and promptly.
- Process payments from students or organizations, documenting transactions according to established procedures.
- Utilize Salesforce to input all contacts, facilitating communication regarding upcoming classes and new offerings.
- Assist students with inquiries or concerns, providing necessary support.
- Support instructors in class preparation and attendance tracking.
- Distribute promotional materials and information requested by callers, email correspondents, or online registrants.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in Administrative/Office roles (Required).
- 1 year of experience in Customer Service (Required).
