We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Larkspur Landing Milpitas. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing hotel operations to maximize profits and achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage hotel operations, including supervising associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with our core values.
- Operations Oversight: Tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis, monitoring cost control, property condition, cleanliness, quality of product, and service throughout the hotel.
- Business Planning and Development: Supervise the development of and revision to business plans, annual budgets, financial reports, and annual and monthly forecasts that clearly explain operational effectiveness, trends, and variances.
- Sales and Marketing: In conjunction with the sales leader, develop and implement sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth.
- Revenue Management: Critically review reports of occupancy and revenue, partner with revenue management professionals to analyze trends, and implement changes to maximize room revenue.
- Associate and Guest Relations: Maintain positive rapport with associates and customers, communicate regularly with the public, staff, corporate office, and owners, and handle associate issues appropriately and in conjunction with human resources following our policies.
- Community Involvement: Participate in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for Larkspur Landing Milpitas and our company.
- Safety and Security: Ensure safety practices and procedures are followed and proper emergency and security procedures are maintained.
- Travel and Professional Development: Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips, and serve on committees, and participate in educational and professional development opportunities.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous hotel management experience required.
