Job Summary

As a Patient Care Assistant at Saratoga Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our patients and staff. Your responsibilities will include performing environmental services and sanitation tasks, transporting patients and materials, and assisting with basic patient preparations.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures departmental quality standards are maintained by following proper procedures for cleaning and sanitation.
Cleans operating room suites and other restricted areas, including vertical and horizontal surfaces that collect dust.
Collects, transports, and disposes of municipal waste, regulated medical waste, sharps, and soiled linen in accordance with IAW regulatory requirements.
Re-stocks supplies, linens, and fills blanket warmers in the sterile cord as needed.
Washes sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replaces supplies, such as paper towels, soaps, and toilet paper as needed.
Transports patients to and from the operating room area, ensuring patient safety.
Reports any patient complaints and assists nursing with transferring patients to and from the operating room bed and moving heavy equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Hospital patient care experience preferred.

What We Offer

Competitive salary range: $18 - $29.55.
Pay grade: PC2.
Compensation may vary based upon overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
