Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Controller with various Human Resources and Payroll functions, including the processing of bi-weekly payroll and maintaining updated records in HRIS, Applicant Tracking, and Benefits Enrollment systems.
  • Support the onboarding process, employee recognition initiatives, event coordination, and other HR-related tasks.
  • This part-time role requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, with the flexibility to process payroll on designated days. Candidates should be available to work at least three days per week and may benefit from a hybrid work arrangement.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Processing bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity.
  • Maintaining accurate data within Paylocity modules, including updating pay rates and tax information.
  • Coordinating monthly performance reviews and managing feedback processes in Paylocity's Performance Management module.
  • Tracking and sending birthday and anniversary cards to staff members.
  • Updating the shared Outlook PTO calendar based on requests entered in Paylocity.
  • Facilitating hiring and onboarding processes, including generating offer letters and managing background checks.
  • Supporting employee recognition programs by procuring gifts and related items.
  • Assisting in updating Job Descriptions and Salary Ranges within Paylocity's Compensation Module.
  • Managing employee access to record keeper sites.
  • Enrolling employees in certification programs and maintaining tracking records.
  • Conducting monthly audits on health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance invoices to verify deduction accuracy.
  • Collaborating with Paylocity to establish new state withholding and unemployment accounts as needed.
  • Assisting with payroll deduction updates during the annual open enrollment period.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll and HRIS platforms; prior experience with Paylocity is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create pivot tables and utilize VLookup functions.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing is advantageous.

Compensation: $25-35 per hour
