Position Overview:

The Resource Center Specialist plays a crucial role in connecting individuals seeking assistance with the appropriate services and resources to fulfill their needs.

This may involve linking individuals to financial aid, disability services, medical programs, rehabilitation services, vocational support, legal aid, housing assistance, disaster relief, food resources, home-delivered meals, in-home support, or other organizations that empower individuals to maintain independence within their communities.

Your Profile:

You are a natural connector, always eager to assist others in any situation.

When someone requests directions, you not only provide guidance but also offer to help them navigate using a GPS, sketch a detailed map, and send them off with encouragement and positivity.

You recognize that each challenge is unique, and you can adapt quickly to connect people with the resources they require.

Your curiosity drives you to learn continuously, discover innovative solutions, and foster connections, as it brings you joy and fulfillment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in social work or case management, particularly in aging, disabilities, community health, or discharge planning from healthcare facilities is preferred.
  • Alliance of Information Referral Specialist (AIRS) certification is required; if not certified, you must obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in customer relations, call management, information and referral, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology necessary for job responsibilities.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability insurance are required.
